A great little beach which has sadly been neglected and despite signage is still technically accessible, as such the danger is not clear, the path is ‘closed’ but accessible, the beach a appears to be open. The position of the beach often means is littered by debris from the sea. Sizeable nearby free public car park with free public toilets (be warned) and on occasion, though not this time the odd ice cream . There is a cafe which I have never frequented. If you like a walk it’s right on the south west coast path. I hope the the path is properly fixed and the beach made secure and truly accessible once more!

Pleasant pebble/stone beach with the shelter of the harbour wall/breakwater. It's a 5 minute walk down to the beach from the carpark - which is FREE and has toilets. There was also an ice-cream van when we visited which took cards. There's a cafe opposite the carpark and benches/picnic areas. There's a sign saying the path down to the beach is shut - but it isn't; just a sign about halfway down saying you use it at your own risk. Beach is bay shaped - quite rocky at the shoreline but with an area where you can enter the water - which was very calm when we visited; ideal for paddle boarding. Really sheltered - so ideal for sun bathing - it was really windy on the clifftops but almost completely still on the beach.

The path down to the beach has been condemned but you can still get down it (at your own risk). Beautiful bit of beach, good cafe at the top and free parking. Well worth a visit

We parked at Mount Batten at 12:30 and climbed across the rocks to Jenny cliff beach (and a bit beyond). It was a very low tide today (0.3 at 14:30), so we planned well to ensure we wouldn't get cut off. It's a lovely area to enjoy the views and the critters you find on a low tide, but if you do cove hop, please be aware of the tide times and the weather. There doesn't seem to be as many critters about as there used to be. We would find really big velvet swimming crabs and lots of fish, but I imagine that as it's opened up and got busier, the wildlife are avoiding the place. It was pretty busy today with lots of families on the easily accessible beaches.

Jennycliff is a really good beach for exploring and enjoying for an hour or so. It's super close to Plymouth a 10 minute drive and the parking is free. Up top there is a cafe and there's plenty of walks to do around the area. The beach itself can get very messy with washed up netting, plastics and other debris is not a beach you want to come to for a day out it's more to be enjoyed as a quick getaway from the city in my opinion get some fresh sea air maybe walk your dog but not a beach to sit down on and enjoy all day not personally anyway. If you live near though come visit have a walk take In the fresh air and leave your car at the free car park while you go explore.
